Intermediaries Around the World Map

Welcome to the Intermediaries Around the World Map! Click on a pin to read a brief overview of the intermediary scheme in that jurisdiction or country.  The information for each jurisdiction is available in an official language of its country, English and Spanish. You can also find a summary of the key characteristics of each intermediary scheme below. This Intermediaries Around the World Map provides an update to work the Access to Justice Knowledge Hub for Fair Participation originally carried out in 2020.

The work to compile the original 2020 Report on intermediaries for justice around the globe was led by María Gómez-Carrillo de Castro with the support of other Hub members, especially from Fayel Achieng Odeny, Paula Backen, Suzanne Cannon, Leigh Anne McKingsley, Tirza Leibowitz, Naama Lerner, Victor Lizama, Diana Scheinbaum and Jenny Talbot. The work to create the Intermediaries Around the World Map has been led by Sally Kedge, Tanya Jondahl, Brynlea Collin Stone and Alayne McKee.

We would like to especially thank the intermediaries who donated their time to tell us about the intermediary schemes in their jurisdictions. We are so grateful they were willing to share their knowledge and expertise.

Please help us keep this information useful and up-to-date: If you spot any inaccurate or obsolete information, please let us know. Also, if you know of any intermediary schemes in action anywhere else in the world, please let us know who we can contact to find out more. We also intend to liaise with each country every 1 – 2 years to capture any new developments.
